If you are going to use the light when working around the car, a wide beam light with a shorter range is preferable, such as the Work Vision Square 24W LED. To minimize the risk of glare, the lamp should preferably have a large surface that glows. However, the lamps should not be amplified as you are often facing the lamp and then it may dazzle more than it is useful. It can also be important not to have a too good work light as you get very poor eyesight when you move outside of the illuminated area. Place the light high and directed downwards to ensure that it disturbs as little as possible. We also recommend always having at least two lights as it is easy to shade the light with the body otherwise. If you want to supplement with an additional light, a headlamp is a good alternative.
If you are going to use the light when driving the car, you should have stronger lighting that is more concentrated. Then Work Vision Square 40W LED is a good alternative. However, it is good to keep in mind that the light can disturb you if you are outside the car and moving towards the car.
TO THINK OF:
It is important to keep in mind that the work light must not be used in traffic as these can dazzle other road users. If you are going to use them as a reversing light, i.e. they light up automatically when you put in the reverse, they must be ECE R23 approved. The reversing light must be adjusted so that its light does not blind other drivers.
From the driver's seat, an indicator light must be visible if the reversing light is connected so that it can be switched on with a button.
If you need good light when driving the car, it may therefore be better to connect these to a switch that you turn on when needed.
For power companies, it is quite common to use a motorized viewfinder light that you can control from inside the car to be able to follow power lines, among other things.
